Kent Air Ambulance lands in Herne Bay Memorial Park to airlift man to hospital

An air ambulance landed in Herne Bay Memorial Park this morning to airlift a man to hospital.

The man was treated by paramedics in a children's centre car park before he was flown to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford, according to a pilot.

South East Coast Ambulance spokesman Richard Airey said they received a call to the man's address at 8.15am but was unable to give details to the nature of the injuries.

Kent Air Ambulance spokesman Jamie Cheshire was also unable to disclose the reason why the man was taken to hospital.
