Dogs Trust Canterbury's smallest and tallest residents, Tia and Boris

Now that’s what you call a height difference.

Statuesque Boris towers above his mini-me lookalike Tia at the Dogs Trust Canterbury rehoming centre.

The pair are near identical apart from the small detail of size.

Staff at the centre have released this adorable snap of their largest and smallest residents - two-year-old Doberman Boris and petite Pinscher Tia.

According to the Trust, Boris is actually three times taller than Tia and a staggering 11 times her weight.

Sadly while Tia has quickly found a home of her own, Boris still has big dreams of finding a devoted new owner who can give him plenty of love and attention in equal measure.

Harriet Cardwell, Dogs Trust Canterbury manager said: "Boris and Tia may be at opposite ends of the size scale but I’m amazed by how alike they look and both staff and visitors have also noticed the similarity!

"We are delighted that Tia has found her forever home and we really hope it’s not too much of a tall order for Boris to follow in her paw-steps."

Staff are keen to find Boris a new home as quickly as possible.

Ms Cardwell added: “Boris is a real larger-than-life character and a big softie who has made so many friends here at the rehoming centre.

“He is a quick learner who is looking for active owners who can continue his training and keep him on his paws with lots of fun and games.”

She says that Boris will need plenty of exercise in a secure garden where he can zip about.

“He can be a little shy when he meets new people but he will soon be your best friend,” she said.

Boris can live with children aged 14 and over and could live with another dog friend who could show him the ropes.
