A man has been charged with attempted rape after a young woman was attacked in Canterbury.
The victim, in her early 20s, was grabbed while walking along Church Lane between Stour Street and Rheims Way between 4am and 4.30am on Saturday, June 14.
There was a brief struggle, before she managed to break free and run towards Rheims Way. Her attacker fled in the direction of St Peter's Place.
Detectives arrested Christopher Sean Adjei, 28, of Riversdale Road in Ramsgate on July 30.
He has since been charged with attempted rape, and is due to appear at Canterbury Crown Court on August 18.
