Victim glassed in attack in Oaten Hill Place, Canterbury

A man needed hospital treatment following a glass attack by a gang in Canterbury city centre.

It followed an incident in Oaten Hill Place around 10pm on Friday night when the victim, who is in his 50s, was getting into a vehicle.

He says he was approached by a group of men who assaulted him with a glass object before walking off in the direction of Dover Street.

The victim suffered a head injury and was taken to hospital for treatment.

One of the suspects is described as white, 5ft 7ins tall and stocky.

Detective Inspector Dave Cox said: "At this stage we believe there may have been a verbal disagreement between the victim and suspects earlier in the night."
