Canterbury East railway station stabbing sparks appeal

A man walking with his girlfriend was stabbed outside Canterbury East railway station.

The victim was knifed during a disagreement with another man in Station Road East.

He tried to kick the knife away before the man lunged towards him and stabbed him in his forearm.

The attacker then ran off in the direction of the police station.

The injured man needed five stitches in his arm after the stabbing at about 1.10am on June 22.

His attacker is described as a slim, black man who was wearing dark clothing and a “du-rag” scarf on his head.
