Canterbury: Arrest after man spotted with taser in St Dunstan's Street

A man wielding a taser in a city bar has been arrested.

The 46-year-old was detained by police just before 1.15am on Sunday in St Dunstan's Street, Canterbury.

He was spotted acting suspiciously and arrested in St Peter’s Place on suspicion of possessing a prohibited weapon.

Following the arrest, a taser was recovered nearby.

The man, from Canterbury, has been released while investigations continue.
