Emergency services Brickfield Close in Bridge

A woman has died following a medical incident in a village near Canterbury.

Emergency services - including a forensics team - were called to Brickfield Close in Bridge at around 2.40pm yesterday.

A police spokesman said the force was alerted to help ambulance crews with a medical emergency at the property.

He said: "A woman was pronounced dead at the scene and her next of kin were informed.

"The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report has been prepared for the coroner."

Police were reportedly knocking on people's doors yesterday asking if they had noticed anything unusual about one of the houses in the street.

A private ambulance later turned up and police left the scene at around 8.20pm.
