The M2 has been fully reopened following a crash on the London-bound carriageway at Faversham.

Police were called to the junction 6 turn-off after a black Seat car smashed into the central reservation at about 8.45am.

The crash is also believed to have involved a coach.

Police closed the motorway between junctions 6 for Faversham and 5 for Sittingbourne London-bound, but both lanes have now reopened.

Cars were diverted via the A2 through Sittingbourne, but no one is thought to have been seriously hurt.
