Mugger attacks student in city

A university student has been mugged in Canterbury and had his Armani watch stolen after being dragged to the ground.

The 20-year-old victim was attacked in Manwood Avenue after being approached by a man who demanded his belongings.

His watch, which has a black face and silver hands, was snatched and the mugger ran off.

Police say the offender was aged in his 20s, Afro Caribbean and had a beard. He was wearing a black track suit, body warmer and white trainers.

It happened between 10.30pm and 11.30pm on Friday, March 22, and police believe may have been witnessed by the occupants of a car, believed to 2005 model silver Ford Fiesta.
