Agenda LGBT night in Canterbury's The Pound bar launches on Wednesday

A new cocktail night called Agenda and aimed at Canterbury’s gay and lesbian community launches on Wednesday.

The event, held at Canterbury’s The Pound bar at the Westgate Towers, is organised by locals Edd Withers and Jack Little.

Entry is £5 and a special Agenda cocktail will be on offer, with part of the profits going to the Stonewall charity.

Mr Withers said: “Set in easily the most sophisticated and beautiful establishment in the city, we aim to offer a more sophisticated and relaxed LGBT nightlife experience.”

Mr Little added: “We really feel that the LGBT community in Canterbury would enjoy an evening at The Pound, and of course everyone is welcome.”
