Plans have been unveiled for a brand new pub and restaurant in Canterbury.

The new watering hole will sit near to the Milton Manor roundabout and offer up to 50 new jobs for the city.

In a letter sent to residents, they say: "We are seeking your opinions on the exciting development proposals for a new Marston's Pub Restaurant.

"We would like to hear your views before the designs are completed and submitted to Canterbury City Council."

The plans include a two-storey pub restaurant and customer parking area for 61 cars and delivery vehicle access.

They say they will provide a "community and family orientated environment, focused on eating, in a traditional English pub setting".

The development will create up to 50 new job opportunities for local people, both part-time and full-time.

As well as distributing a leaflet to local residents and businesses, Marston's will be displaying their new plans at a public exhibition tomorrow (Monday) night.

Visit Chartham Village Hall in Station Road from 2pm until 7.30pm where representatives of Marstons will be on hand to answer any questions.
