Pirates of the Caribbean star Orlando Bloom's trunks go to auction for Relate East Kent

Swimming trunks worn by Hollywood star Orlando Bloom are set to cause a splash for an east Kent charity when they go under the hammer at an auction.

Relate East Kent, which specialises in counselling, with shops in Whitstable and Hythe, are selling the Canterbury actor’s Ralph Lauren trunks worn by Orlando during filming for Pirates of the Caribbean.

The swimwear was bought at another charity auction in 2010 by Willie Cooper, who sits on the charity’s board.
