Ornamental whippet statue stolen from Westbere house

An ornamental statue of a whippet has been stolen from a Westbere house.

Police are investigating the theft from Walnut Tree Lane, where the stone dog stood guard outside a house.

It is believed to have been taken sometime between 10am and 6pm on Thursday, December 22.

The whippet is valued around £125 and is around 2ft 5ins and between 40 and 50 years old. The statue is one of a pair.

PCSO Christian Ward-Davies said: “I ask anyone who saw the theft take place or has since been offered or has seen a whippet statue for sale to contact us.

"We would like to be able to reunite the pair.”
