A man arrested by police this afternoon is being questioned on suspicion of theft and carrying an offensive weapon.
The 29-year-old from Margate was stopped by officers in St Peter's Street, Canterbury, at about 1.40pm.
It is understood he may have been in The Pound bar and nightclub shortly before his arrest.
He is currently in police custody.
