Man punched in the face and stamped on in Dorman Avenue South, Aylesham.

A man has been punched in the face and had his head stamped on in a nasty assault outside a village shop.

The unprovoked attack happened while the victim, who is in his 20s, was walking past stores in Dorman Avenue South in Aylesham.

Now police have released a CCTV image of the suspect in a bid to trace him.

They say it happened around 4pm on Tuesday, May 9 after the victim was shouted at.

He was then punched in the face, causing him to fall to the ground where he was grabbed around the neck and his head stamped on.

He suffered concussion and facial bruising.
