Canterbury: Kent Police hunt after OAP targeted in Sturry Road supermarket car park

Do you know this man and woman who police want to speak to about the alleged theft of a purse from a 82-year-old woman?

They were filmed on CCTV following the incident in a supermarket car park in Sturry Road in which the after the victim found her purse missing from her handbag.

Police have released an image of the couple following the theft which happened between 3.30pm and 4pm on Wednesday, January 13.

Investigating officer PC Andrew Keyes said: "The victim, an 82-year-old woman, had used her bank card at a till inside the supermarket earlier that afternoon and had then gone into the car park where she believes her purse was stolen.

“The bank card was used to attempt to withdraw cash from a cash machine at a supermarket in Kingsmead Road, Canterbury, at 4.06pm that same afternoon."
