Man suffered head and arm injuries in an alleged assault in St Andrew's Close, Canterbury

A man was taken to hospital following an alleged assault in the early hours in Canterbury.

Police were called to an area near St Andrew's Close at 1.19am following a report that a man had been seen with head and arm injuries.

The victim, who is in his 40s, is not in a life-threatening condition.

Officer have arrested a 33-year-old man of no fixed address, a 28-year-old man from Sittingbourne, and a 29-year-old woman of no fixed address on suspicion of assault.

They all remain in custody while inquiries are ongoing.
