Footpath taped off in Canterbury following unconfirmed reports of an assault

Police are investigating after a teenage boy was reportedly attacked by a 14-year-old and a 19-year-old.

The two were arrested after the alleged assault on a pathway between Military Road and Northgate roundabouts in Canterbury earlier this afternoon.

The teenage victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment, police confirmed this evening.

The footpath between Military Road and Northgate roundabouts remains cordoned off while police carry out investigations on the incident which was reported just after 1pm today.

The pathway remains sealed off this evening.

Police say a 19-year-old man of no fixed address and a 14-year-old boy from the Canterbury area have been arrested on suspicion of assault and remain in custody.
