This stolen golf buggy has ended up out of bounds after being driven off course and dumped in a river.

The cart was taken from Broome Park golf club by three men celebrating St Patrick's Day.

It has now been turning heads after being spotted stranded in the River Nailbourne.

Golfer Phil Cryer, a member of Canterbury Golf Club, discovered the buggy while walking his dogs to pick up a newspaper.

He said: "Being a golfer I recognised it straight away, but I didn't expect to see it lying in the Nailbourne."

Police are due to visit the Canterbury Road club today to discuss the incident and study CCTV footage.
