Ashford woman arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after car crash in Oxford Road, Canterbury

A suspected drink-driver was arrested after a car crashed and ended up on its roof in Oxford Road, Canterbury.

Police were called to reports that a green Peugeot had hit a parked car and flipped over at 3.40am on Saturday.

Marie Hopkins, 25, of Cudworth Road in Willesborough, Ashford, was arrested and held in police custody.

She was charged with drink-driving on Saturday evening and released on bail.

No one was injured in the smash.
