Teenager arrested following rape in Canterbury

A sixth teenager arrested following reports of a rape in Canterbury has been released pending further enquiries.

The 18-year-old from Canterbury was held on suspicion of raping a woman in her late teens at a house in Downs Road some time before 2am on Monday.

She had been in the area of Station Road East before travelling by car to Downs Road.

The teenage suspect was arrested on Wednesday.

He was the sixth person to be arrested in connection with the investigation.

Another 18-year-old man, who was arrested on 14 November, has been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Four other men, who were arrested earlier in the week, have been released without charge.
