A collapsed sewer has resulted in a series of road closures across Whitstable which will reopen after two weeks.

Kent Highways say emergency repairs are being carried out in Sea Street with the road closed from the junction of Red Lion Lane to the Tile Warehouse.

Closures are also in place in Harbour Street, closed westbound at Cromwell Road and High Street, southbound at Terry's Lane.

Cars will also not be able to access Cromwell Road from Oxford Street while repairs are carried out.

Drivers have been advised to use alternative routes for the duration of the works and allow added journey times.

Roads are expected to fully reopen in two weeks.
