A car and van have crashed into a tree, which has fallen on a busy road between Canterbury and Sandwich this morning.

It happened at around 7.14am and there were delays on the A257 near Littlebourne following the incident on the busy route.

Police have been at the scene between The Green and Bramling Road, but no injuries have been reported.

One lane was closed to allow removal of the tree by a highways team, but all roads are now open.
