Accident on the A299 Thanet Way between Faversham and Whitstable causing rush-hour delays

A car went into the central reservation on the London-bound A299 Thanet Way this morning.

Two police cars and an ambulance are at the scene near Dargate between Faversham and Whitstable.

The accident happened at 7.15am when the Renault Clio hit the central reservation.

Police closed the road as the car was recovered. Its driver was treated for minor injuries at the scene, but not taken to hospital.

The same stretch of road was slowed after a car broke down on a section of road without a hard shoulder at 5pm on Tuesday night.
