Homes in Attlee Avenue and Cornwallis Avenue, Aylesham, raided by police

Two people have been arrested after a drugs raids in Aylesham today.

Officers raided two addresses in the former mining village as part of an ongoing operation against drugs in the Dover police area.

Its community policing team arrested a 27-year-old man from Attlee Avenue on suspicion of possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply.

He has been bailed until Friday, November 27.

A 36-year-old woman of Cornwallis Avenue was also arrested and received a police caution for possession of a controlled drug.

Insp Guy Thompson said: “This is part of the on-going targeting of drug dealers in the district.

“We are working with the community and our partners to deal with those that are involved in this criminal business.”
