Two charged for allegedly using counterfeit currency

Two people have been charged for allegedly using fake money.

Canterbury officers arrested Billi Jo Darling, 24, and Duane Nelson Gray, 29, on suspicion of using counterfeit currency and shoplifting.

Darling, of St Radigund’s Road in Dover has been charged with four counts of using counterfeit currency in shops in Canterbury and Dover, and five counts of shoplifting, three in Maidstone, one in Dover and one in Canterbury.

Gray, of Coldharbour Lane in Aylesford has been charged with two counts of using counterfeit currency at shops in Canterbury, and one count of shoplifting from a store in Maidstone.

Both have been bailed to appear at Folkestone Magistrates Court on July 4.
