Canterbury Christ Church University student dies following medical incident

A university student died following a medical incident in her accommodation, it has emerged.

Canterbury Christ Church University has confirmed one of its students died two days after police and ambulance crews rushed to St George's Place in New Dover Road.

Police say they arrived at the student accommodation at about 3am on Monday, January 27.

The student then died two days later.

A university spokesman said: "It is with great sadness that we can confirm one of our students died on January 29.

"Our thoughts and condolences are with the family and friends, and we would like to remind all students and staff that help and advice is available through the university support services.

"Out of respect for the family, we will not be giving any further details at this time."
