X Factor star Lucy Spraggan attacked after gig in Brighton

Canterbury-born X Factor star Lucy Spraggan has been attacked after a gig in Brighton.

The singer, whose parents live in Deal, was assaulted by two women after a show at the Concorde II venue in the East Sussex city.

Her hair was torn out in the attack on the 25-year-old, who starred on the show in 2012.

In a posting on Instagram, she said: 'Was attacked tonight after the show in Brighton, along with my guitarist and wife. Sussex Police have been amazing and are pursuing a charge.

'Got a bit of whiplash and a few bruises but we're all good. Scary s**t, man. Be safe out there!'

A spokesman for Sussex Police said two women from London had been arrested and interviewed about the attack.
