Kent Spitfires resume their NatWest T20 Blast South Group campaign at Hove against Sussex Sharks on Friday (7pm).

And assistant coach Matt Walker would love to see his side replicate the display they produced last time out in the competition, a 54-run triumph over Surrey at the Kia Oval on June 19.

“It seems a lifetime ago now, but I remember that night as though it was yesterday,” he said.

“I was sitting in that changing room and knew I was watching something really very special unfold before my eyes.

“We batted with so much freedom, we executed our plans with the ball and we got a sensational result.

“It was a complete performance in terms of this format of the game.

“Now we’ve got to ensure we carry on from where we left off there against Sussex because momentum is the key in this competition.”

Kent will head to Sussex second in the table, a point ahead of the hosts and a point behind leaders Essex, although the Eagles have played two games more.
