Police issue CCTV image of man wanted in Co-Op robbery

Police have released this CCTV image as they step up their hunt for a robber who stole £2,000 before fleeing the Co-Op bank in Dartford.

It comes after the raid in Hythe Street at around 10.23am on June 27, when a man is said to have stolen cash before running out of the bank towards Dartford train station via Home Gardens.

CCTV later picked him up on a train travelling towards London.


Nobody was hurt in the robbery and no weapons were used.

The suspect is said to be black, between the ages of 16 and 30, , slim, around 5ft 7ins tall, with an unkempt Afro hairstyle,

He was wearing a black vest, black shirt and dark trousers, and carrying a black bag.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable James Crouch, said: 'While we are still looking into different lines of enquiry, I would be keen to hear from anybody who saw this man in or around Dartford or on the railway system on the 27 June - if anyone who recognises him.'
