CCTV has been released of a man police want to speak to following the theft of a television from a supermarket in Swanley.

On Wednesday, May 1, a Samsung television worth £399 was stolen from Asda in London Road, Swanley, between 11:35 and 11:55pm.

A man was seen with the television on the store’s CCTV at one of the self-service checkouts.

He distracted a member of staff before leaving the store without paying.

It is reported that the man then made his way to Swanley train station and boarded a train travelling towards the Sevenoaks area.

He may have got off at Shoreham.

Kent Police is now appealing for help in identifying a man captured on CCTV, as it is thought he may have information that could help them with their investigation.

He is described as aged in his 30s, 5ft 10ins tall, of slim build with short blond hair.

He was wearing a light blue shirt with dark trousers and dark shoes.
