Two people have been taken to hospital after four vehicles were involved in a crash on the A2 at Bean.

The London-bound carriageway was closed near Bluewater after the smash at just after 6pm yesterday.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service crews used cutting equipment to free two people who were trapped in vehicles.

A spokesman said a woman in her 30s was said to be suffering from multiple injuries.

Five ambulances from South East Coast Ambulance Service and an air ambulance were at the scene.
