Biker in hospital after pile-up on A2 near Dartford Heath causes long delays

A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital after a pile-up on the A2 near Dartford last night.

The bike and six other vehicles were involved in the smash on the London-bound carriageway at just after 5.30pm.

Police said the rider was taken to a London hospital to be treated for head and arm injuries.

The road was closed for more than two hours after the crash near Dartford Heath.

It blocked all three lanes and led to delays of more than an hour-and-a-half.

One lane was opened by 7.15pm, with the road fully reopened about an hour later.
