Traffic was slow for several hours on the M25 after an accident.
One lane was blocked on the clockwise carriageway between junctions 3 and 4 for Swanley Interchange and Orpington.
Highways England did not expect traffic conditions to return to normal until 10.45am at the earliest.
All lanes have since been reopened and the area has cleared.
