Arrest at Bluewater shopping centre after confrontation involing paedophile hunters The Hunted One

A man has been arrested on suspicion of grooming after an incident involving self-styled 'paedophile hunters' at Bluewater.

It follows a distrubance at the shopping centre after a man was confronted today at a car park by members of the group known as The Hunted One.

Det Ch Insp Emma Banks, of Kent Police said officers arrested a 29-year-old man from East London on suspicion of grooming at 2.27pm.

"The arrested man is in custody. Police are also investigating a disturbance which took place in connection with this incident."

She added: "I strongly discourage people taking the law into their own hands to avoid them and others, including individuals who may have been wrongfully identified, being put in any danger.

"Any acts of violence reported will always be fully investigated and inquiries into this incident are ongoing."
