A bathroom specialist is planning to move its headquarters to The Bridge complex in Dartford.

Crosswater Holdings and developer Prologis submitted a planning application to Dartford council for a new headquarters at the business park.

The company is planning to move from several small buildings at Crossways Business Park to a new 131,429 square foot purpose-built facility.

The move, the company says, could secure around 210 jobs by 2016 and create new apprenticeship opportunities.

It will include warehouse space together with offices, storage and a trade showroom.

The two storey offices will overlook the North Lake and the residential development beyond, while the service yard and warehouse operations will be built along the eastern side of the building facing the Sainsbury’s distribution centre.

David Hance, group chairman of Crosswater Holdings said: “The new headquarters building will allow us to establish a long-term future in Dartford.

“This is an ideal location for us since it will allow us to retain our existing staff and we look forward to becoming an active member of the new community at The Bridge.”

If planning permission is granted, work will start on site later this year and will be operational in 2014.
