He will front The Late Night Prom on Wednesday, July 29 in a collaboration with Radio 1 to mark the 20th anniversary of the station's Ibizia broadcasts.

A line-up of live artists will perform with Jules Buckley and his Heritage Orchestra as part of the star-studded bill.

Mr Tong started his career playing the clubs in Gravesham before earning a reputation on the world stage by hosting club nights on the Spanish party island.

In 2014, he was given an MBE for services to broadcasting and music.

But despite his fame, Mr Tong has stayed true to his roots by pledging support to local charities including ellenor.
