Charlton Athletic manager Chris Powell praised his side’s impressive away record after the Addicks’ 2-1 victory at Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.

Goals in each half from Dale Stephens (pictured) and Yann Kermorgant either side of a header from Rovers’ striker Jordan Rhodes earned Charlton their sixth away success of the season and Powell said: "A few people would like us to win more home games but being manager, I just want us to win points.

"We work on our tactics, we work on what we need to do in each and every game and the players carry it out. Sometimes it goes for you, sometimes it doesn’t but away from home we have done well."

Stephens’ 25-yard strike set the Addicks on their way and although Rhodes’ diving header levelled early in the second half, a header from Frenchman Kermorgant earned Charlton their third successive victory.

The win moved Charlton up to 12th in the Championship.
