Lorry fire caused delays on M25 near Dartford

A vehicle fire on a slip road was causing delays on the M25.

The blaze is on the exit-slip road on to the A2 heading coastbound at the Darenth Interchange at junction 2 of the M25.

A spokesman from the fire service said: "We were called to reports of a lorry fire on the M25, near Junction 2, at around 12:33pm.

"Two fire engines were sent to the scene and crews wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to tackle the blaze. Officers from Highways England were also in attendance. No casualties were reported."
