Two lanes of the A2 were closed near Bluewater shopping centre last night after a crash.

Two vehicles were involved in the collision on the coastbound stretch close to the Bean turn-off at just before 11pm.

One person was taken to hospital.

It came just a few hours after another accident on the A2 Londonbound, also near the Bluewater turn-off, involving three vehicles.

Police were called alongside fire and ambulance crews at 9.43pm and two people were injured, with one needing to be cut out of their car.

A woman was taken to a London hospital and a man was taken to a local hospital.

The road was clear by 1.10am.
