Dartford Crossing closed after crash on M25 between junctions 30, Thurrock, and 29, Upminster

There are long delays after the Dartford Crossing and M25 wasa closed due to a two-vehicle crash.

The anti-clockwise carriageway between junctions 30, Thurrock, and 29, Upminster, on the M25 was shut due to the collision at around 10.15am today.

It has now re-opened, but the backlog is causing severe congestion with delays currently in excess of 90 minutes.

Drivers have been advised to leave the M25 anti-clockwise at junction 30, follow the hollow square symbol via the A13 east through Orsett, the A128 north through Bulphan and the A127 west to rejoin the M25 at junction 29.

Essex Police are responding to the incident alongside Highways Agency traffic officers, contractors and other emergency services.
