More than £5,000 was raised in honour of Drummer Lee Rigby at a charity fundraiser.

About 200 people turned out for the clay target shoot at Hawley Shooting Club in Dartford.

Raffle prizes were also auctioned off.

Joint organiser Steve Shipway said: “We have been blown away by the support of people around the country and are so grateful to all those who turned up to help raise funds and awareness.”

All of the money raised will be used to support Drummer Rigby’s son, Jack.

The organisers hope that the money will allow the boy to do some of the things he would have done with his dad.

Representatives from the Fusiliers’ Memorial Fund also attended.
