Llowes Frost, Ocean Turley and Gill Harker were all smiles ahead of their 30-mile bike ride on Saturday.

They were probably looking forward to reaching the farm tearoom where they knew tea and cake would be waiting for them.

The women-only event was part organised by SkyRide Breeze Bike Rides, part of a national campaign by British Cycling and Sky to get more people riding.

Saturday’s route started in Central Park, Dartford, and took the riders through the country to Higham.

The ride was a mix of flat and hills, cycle paths, country lanes and main roads.
