Fire in cottage in Upper Dartford Road, Wilmington

Dozens of firefighters have been tackling a thatched roof fire near Dartford.

The blaze broke out in Upper Dartford Road, Wilmington, at about 9.30pm last night. It was put out before 1am today

Six fire engines - four from Kent and two from London - plus specialist vehicles were sent to the scene and crews have been at the scene all night.

The fire spread to two floors of the building. There have been no reports of any injuries.
