Drama as front of house collapses

THE emergency services were called after a family's home collapsed into a driveway early today.

The front of the house, in Ridley Road, Bromley, crashed into a hole in the ground after cracks in the walls appeared.

A surveyor and firefighters examined the property before evacuating the family and 13 other homes nearby.

Train services through Bromley South have been suspended. Trains are being diverted via Chislehurst, Lewisham and Grove Park and Eurostar services have also been affected.

Rail ticket holders are being allowed to use buses in the area.

London Fire Brigade, Metropolitan Police officers and Southern Gas engineers are currently at the scene.

Nobody has been reported injured in the incident.
