Dartford crossing closures expected to cause delays

Delays are expected at the Dartford Crossing due to bridge and tunnel closures over the coming days.

Highways England says maintenance work will lead to the northbound east tunnel being closed from 8.30pm to 5am on Thursday, Friday and Saturday night.

There will be signed diversions in place for oversized vehicles.

The northbound west tunnel will be closed from 8.30pm on Sunday to 5am on Monday.

The QEII Bridge will be closed overnight from 10pm on Saturday to 5am on Sunday, with southbound traffic diverted through the east tunnel.

Maintenance work will also mean the closure of the northbound entry slip road at the A282 junction 1a from 8.30pm on Sunday and 5am on Monday.

A signed diversion will be in place via the A282 southbound to junction 1b in order to return northbound.
