Dogs poisoned in Attlee Drive, Dartford

A family has been left devastated after their three dogs were poisoned in a seemingly random attack.

Staffordshire bull terriers Chyanne, Teach and Bruce, all died after owners found them suffering from fits at home in Attlee Drive, Dartford, yesterday afternoon.

Chyanne was taken to the Medivet Centre in Essex Road, after being found fitting.

Vets advised the family to bring the other two in immediately, but it was too late.

Owner Ocean Turley said the poison used had "fried their brains". And she warned other owners to look out for their pets.

"I don't know why this happened, they were good dogs, friendly and loving," she said. "They are family dogs brought up in a loving home.

"I don't have any enemies or any problems with my neighbours. This was just an act of evil."

Her mother Pam Turley said the family were broken-hearted at the loss.

"They're devastated," she said. "It doesn't bear thinking about what those dogs went through.

"They were their babies. They were beautiful dogs, and they didn't bark."

She said the vet said it was one of the worst cases they had ever seen.

She believed the poison had been thrown into the garden from a nearby alley.

The incident has been reported to the police.
