Regarding the incident at the home of Richard Osborn-Brookes, 78, in Hither Green which left his friend 37-year-old Henry Vincent, also of Swanley, dead he has been bailed until mid-May.

Vincent was stabbed by Mr Osborn-Brookes after confronting him in the house he shared with his dementia-suffering wife last month.

Both he and his accomplice fled but he died in a nearby street.

The accomplice, alleged to be Jeeves, made off in a white van which was found burned out days later in Orpington.

In the weeks since the incident Mr Osborn-Brookes has been unable to return home due to fear of reprisals while neighbours have been engaged in a stand-off with members of Vincent's family over floral tributes placed at the scene.
