Fire crews at Pepper Hill recycling centre in Southfleet

Fire crews are at the scene of a blaze at the Pepper Hill recycling centre in Southfleet.

Huge plumes of black smoke can be seen billowing from the waste centre in Station Road.

It is believed a single-storey industrial unit is alight.

As many as eight fire engines are thought to be at the scene.

It is not yet known what started the fire.

The B262 Pepper Hill is closed between New Barn roundabout though to the junction with Park Corner Road.
