Firefighters called to blaze at Glentworth Club in Lowfield Street, Dartford

Firefighters were called to a blaze at a social club after a roof caught light.

Two fire engines were sent to the Glentworth Ex-Service Club in Lowfield Street, Dartford, at 5.55pm on Tuesday.

They dealt with the incident in about an hour.

No one was hurt.

A spokesman said: "After extinguishing the fire, crews used a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear smoke from the property, cut away damaged material and assisted with salvage.

"There are no reports of any injuries and the cause is not known."
